To notify the Honors College that you have performed community service and verify the number of hours and the activities you performed, you must submit the "Community Service Verification Form," which you can download by clicking on the link below. Note that internships are not considered community service, and that you may not count paid work of any kind towards your community service requirement.
Policy: Transfers from one participating CUNY campus to another within the Honors College are ordinarily discouraged. University Scholars are urged to consider their college of application carefully during the application process. However, transfers may be approved for substantive academic reasons. Note that transfers generally become effective during the fall term. If you follow the directions below and your transfer request is approved, you will retain all the benefits (financial, curricular and programmatic) at your new home campus. However, if you have been offered any additional local campus aid or awards beyond your University Scholarship, you may loose such aid or awards upon transfer. It is your responsibility to inform yourself of the full academic and financial implications of your transfer request.
Directions: Please fill out the form (which you can download below) and deliver it, with your rationale, to your current campus Honors College Program Director for approval. If your local campus director approves your request, you may then contact the Honors Program Director at the CUNY campus to which you wish to transfer. Your "target" Honors Program Director may require an interview as part of his/her approval process. Once you have acquired both Honors Program Directors' signatures, you must forward your completed request form and all accompanying documentation to Dr. Kirschner, the University Dean of the Honors College, for final approval. Note that all three signatures are required for your transfer to be processed and official.
