ABOUT
THE DATABASE
Inaugurated in Spring 1999, the Faculty Experts/Research Database
is a project of the offices of the Dean
of Research and Public Relations. It
is designed to assist these offices with their separate missions of
showcasing faculty's expertise via the media and assisting faculty
in finding funding sources for their work. The database is also intended
to help promote interdisciplinary collaborations at Hunter and research
partnerships with other institutions.
Benefits
of Participation
Why should you take the time from your busy schedule to answer the
online questionnaire? There are many advantages. First, by posting
information about your research online, the database brings your accomplishments
to the attention of a wide audience--including potential new funding
sources for your work. Another key benefit: your expertise could interest
the media, and even the general public, and lead to increased visibility
for you and Hunter College.
