Hunter College, who have not been in attendance for one semester or more
and who did not receive a degree from the College. There is no need to apply for
readmission if you received an Official Withdrawal(s), (W grade(s)) for the semester prior
to the one in which you would like to return to the College. Students academically
eligible, grade point average 2.0 or higher, are generally approved for readmission. The
Office of Student Services or the SEEK Program must review all records of students whose
GPA is below 2.0.
Application Fee
There is an application fee of $10.00 that will be included on your bill after you
register.
Degree Readmits
Only
Please send official transcripts from all undergraduate colleges attended since
your last attendance at Hunter to: Hunter College, Office of Admissions, Room
203N-Evaluations, 695 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10065.
Testing
All Non-Degree and Degree readmits are required to demonstrate basic levels of
competence in reading, writing, and mathematics through proficiency testing prior to
registration. These tests determine whether or not a student is prepared for courses in
the college curriculum and do not guarantee placement in
specific courses. Students who do not comply with the testing requirements will
find access to courses severely limited. Baccalaureate degree holders from
regionally accredited U.S. Institutions and Senior Citizens are exempt from
testing.
SEEK Students
SEEK students who have not been in attendance for four or more semesters and/or
have been in the SEEK program for ten semesters or more, need special permission to return
to SEEK. Students with less than 60 credits who do not wish to return to SEEK must obtain
a release from the Director of the SEEK program.
