Mitchel Wu
Since 2008, Mitchel has been faculty at Hunter College in the Asian American Studies department. As a critical race theorist, he has contributed work in The Contemporary Asian American Encyclopedia, Koreans in America: History, Identity, and Community, and The Asian American Policy Review at Harvard University's Kennedy School. A Queens native, Mitch also serves on various community advisory and steering committees. He is currently the Public Advocate appointee on the Citywide Council on English Language Learners.
Mitchel Wu also works in Asian American community based organizations in various capacities. He has worked as an advocate on city and state levels. He has experience as an organizer, working on coalitions with various diverse settings. Mitch also has experience in the human service sector; managing, launching and overseeing programs in that empower and educate low-income, immigrant communities in NYC.
