Applications

Deadline & Eligibility

The applications are accepted all year-round, on a rolling basis. Please feel free to contact Chinese Flagship office if you have any questions regarding the program.

All full-time Hunter College students who are US citizens with good academic standing (GPA 3.5 for humanities and GPA 3.0 for science majors) can apply.

We welcome all students who share the Chinese Flagship goal of becoming a global professional, and who are committed to taking advantage of the educational opportunities and completing the requirements. Students do not need to have prior Chinese language proficiency or learning experience. We accept students who have no background as well as those with some Chinese proficiency. We accept both Chinese heritage and non-heritage students. Our goal is for you to achieve superior level proficiency in speaking, listening, and reading by the time you finish Flagship.

Applications for Macaulay Honors College Students

Launched in 2001, the Macaulay Honors College was designed to connect the many diverse programs offered through the honors programs at CUNY’s senior colleges with exceptional advising, hands-on internships and research opportunities, new community service and study abroad courses, and the resources to enable each of our students to excel in college and beyond.

Students should speak to their Macaulay advisors or contact Chinese Flagship office directly, if interested

Student Support and Other Resources for Scholarships

Generous Flagship student support funding will be provided to qualified Flagship students to help cover the costs of attending Flagship-sponsored or approved programs during the summer. Flagship students apply for Boren Scholarships to receive funding for their Capstone Year of study in Taiwan.
