Dr. Yuan Yin joined the Department of Economics at Hunter College as a doctoral lecturer in the fall of 2019. She teaches financial and managerial accounting and serves as an academic advisor. She holds a PhD in accounting and a master’s degree in accounting and financial management from Lancaster University. She taught accounting at California State University at Long Beach and LSUS before joining the faculty at Hunter College. Prior to entering academia, she worked as an accountant for Philips, Johnson & Johnson, and Xerox.
Dr. Yin’s research has been published in Abacus, Accounting and Business Research, Journal of Investing and Accounting and Finance. Her research interests are in areas such as financial analysts, equity valuation, fundamental analysis, forecasting and financial reporting.
