Undergraduate Focus Areas
Psychology Majors may choose to specialize in one of seven different Focus Areas: Animal Behavior, Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Health Psychology. Students can also choose the Behavioral Neuroscience Concentration, which includes courses in both Psychology and Biology Departments. Choosing a Focus Area is optional, but it’s ideal for those students who wish to receive intensive study within a particular subfield of Psychology (e.g., in preparation for graduate study). Students who prefer not to specialize in a specific Focus Area may pursue the “General Psychology” option.
