Undergraduate Focus Areas
Psychology Majors may choose to specialize in one of seven different Focus Areas: Animal Behavior, Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Health Psychology. Choosing a Focus Area is optional, but it’s ideal for those students who wish to receive intensive study within a particular subfield of Psychology (e.g., in preparation for graduate study). Students who prefer not to specialize in a specific Focus Area may pursue the “General Psychology” option.
