Our Strategy
Making productive use of existing space, while continuing to work toward breaking ground on new facilities, are key components of the Office of Capital Projects and Planning's efforts.
The Space Management and Planning team within the Office of Capital Projects and Planning works to oversee ARCHIBUS inventory and determine which space at Hunter College is assigned to which department.
By evaluating current facility usage and identifying opportunities to optimize that usage, the Space Management team has been able to negotiate space exchanges between college departments and groups, resulting in increased seats in high demand courses, expanded laboratory capacity and increased collaboration across disciplines, schools and projects.
