AI Fellow Call for Applications
The Center for Online Learning and ACERT invite applications for an AI Faculty Fellow. In a year-long appointment, the AI Fellow works with the Center for Online Learning and ACERT staff to implement current teaching and learning with technology initiatives. Their primary role is to advise faculty on pedagogically tested tools and strategies for engaging students and teaching courses in response to the availability of generative AI tools.
The expected time commitment is 3-5 hours per week for 15 weeks or a maximum of 75 hours per semester. Full-time and part-time faculty are welcome to apply. Part-time faculty must have at least one year of service at Hunter. Fellows receive compensation for the equivalent of one 3-credit course in non-teaching adjunct hours.
The AI Fellow is expected to:
- create a guide for faculty in the form of a 3-5 page document or a site on the CUNY Academic Commons;
- create a guide for students in the form of a 3-5 page document or a site on the CUNY Academic Commons;
- create a course module on the basics of AI for students that can be added to any course;
- offer professional development events or workshops to faculty–1 at beginning of each semester and 3 during each semester;
- co-facilitate an AI camp (3-day event on integrating generative AI into courses).
