DuckieTown 2020
DuckieTown 2020
In January, 25 Hunter exceptional undergraduates participated in the Duckietown Workshop, led by Professors Epstein and St.John, with essential help from Professors Schweitzer and our own Thomas Kwok. For four days they worked tirelessly with a fleet of small autonomous cars called Duckiebots. Although they learned introductory material about AI, machine learning, navigation, computer vision, and ethical algorithms, they spent most of their time on the floor with the robots, and loved every minute of it. The Duckietown Workshop was supported by a Google ExploreCSR grant intended to introduce female computer science majors to research.
