Congratulations to Hunter CSCI Major Warren Ball for being admitted to this summer's Microsoft Research Data Science Summer School! Taught by top scientists at Microsoft Research New York City, this seminar offers 12 distinguished New York City undergraduates an intensive introduction to the field of Data Science, with an emphasis on working with real-world data for professional research purposes. Ball and his cohort will undertake 4 weeks of rigorous coursework, culminating in an original data replication analysis project conducted in the final week. As part of his admission, Microsoft has awarded Ball a $3000 stipend and a laptop for participating in the program.
