Positions
The Dolciani Mathematics Learning Center has a variety of part-time positions available each semester for Federal Work Study students and Departmental College Assistants and Student Aides. These include tutoring info booth and circulation area assistant positions. Rates of pay are determined by contractual agreement. In general, they vary from $16 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Circulation Area Info Booth Assistant
You may be asked to answer student questions and phones, take messages, monitor the center both onsite and virtually, loan out audio visual equipment, do light clerical work, and other tasks assigned by full-time staff.
Tutor / Problem Session Leader
You may be asked to tutor students in mathematics or statistics, depending on your abilities, either onsite or virtually. A test is required for each course you are interested in tutoring.
Learning Center Supervisor
You will be responsible for monitoring the Center; ensuring that all students are being serviced; supervising staff (circulation area and tutors); and tutoring as necessary.
