The Hunter College Art Advisory Board presents a panel for Studio Art Majors, BFA, MFA, Alumni, and Friends!

Candid Advice from Industry Experts on How to Prepare for a Life in the Arts

It’s a gigantic leap to go from art student to working artist. Based on input from recent graduates of art programs, this event is designed to help you make this leap with greater confidence and ease. What can you expect and how can you prepare for the uncertainty and labyrinth that awaits you?

How do you create a supportive community, learn about residencies, meet gallerists, journalists and influencers while doing your work and earning a living? How do you stay sane and focused as you begin to make your way in the so-called art world? Seats are limited! Please click here to RSVP and submit questions for the panelists before the event.

Panelists include:

  • Alteronce Gumby, Artist and Hunter BFA Alum
  • Kai Reevey Esq., Attorney, Endeavor and HCES & HCHS Alum
  • Adam Abdalla, Founder and President of the Cultural Council
  • Andrew Feiser, Gallerist, Fredricks and Freiser
  • Elan Nieves Esq., Moderator, HCES & HCHS Alum

The purpose of this panel is to help you stack the deck in your favor. Part two will take place in May and feature an intimate fireside chat with a gallerist.

Panel 5-6 pm
Reception 6-7 pm
