(Postponed) Great Thinker Series: Ned Block

This internationally respected philosopher’s specialty is philosophy of the mind, and he has made significant contributions to understanding consciousness and cognitive science. Dr. Block’s book, Consciousness, Function, and Representation, elucidates on his theories on contemporary philosophical thinking about consciousness, functionalism, representation and symbols. He earned his PhD at Harvard University, and he is a professor at NYU in Psychology and Philosophy.
Best-Selling Authors’ and Great Thinkers’ lectures are followed by a reception and book-signing. The public is invited. There is no charge. RSVP are required: call 212-772-4295 or email twcce@hunter.cuny.edu and include your phone number and email address.
