Puerto Rican Voices

Season four of Centro’s Puerto Rican Voices TV show, Rebuild Puerto Rico, highlights the role of the Puerto Rican diaspora in the reconstruction of the Island. Images of the devastation caused by hurricanes Irma and Maria activated humanitarian responses by stateside civic leaders and organizations. Many of those same entities have partnered with organizations in Puerto Rico on long term rebuilding initiatives. Join in a conversation with leaders from four organizations spotlighted in Rebuild Puerto Rico episodes, as they discuss their work, challenges, and commitment to playing a role in building a stronger Puerto Rico.

Panelists: Fernando Lloveras San Miguel, Para La Naturaleza; Teresa Santiago, Comité Noviembre; Surey Miranda, Diáspora X Puerto Rico; Harry Franqui-Rivera, Associate Professor of History Bloomfield College; Judith Aponte, Associate Professor at Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing Hunter College.
