In this workshop you’ll learn:

  • How effectively managing your initial summer internship paycheck will lay a strong financial foundation for your future career.
  • Specific habits or approaches to develop during your internship that you will use in your later career.
  • How to effectively seek out and utilize resources during your internships, and how that translates to your approach to resources in the future.
  • Some seemingly small habits you can cultivate that will have a significant long-term impact on your career trajectory.
  • How understanding a paycheck empowers first-generation or minority interns to advocate for themselves in future salary negotiations or benefit discussions.

  • Jorge Chacon: Currently at Deloitte, Mr. Chacon holds an M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Albany.
