Coming Together: Healing as a Community
Join us at Hunter College for a talk with trauma-informed diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant, Dr. Laura Quiros. Dr. Quiros is a licensed master social worker who graduated from Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work in 2000. She also serves as an associate professor of Social Work at Montclair State University.
The goal is not to 'overcome' the trauma; it is to acknowledge, learn from and integrate the trauma. And perhaps most importantly, integrating what serves us and letting go of what stops us from growth and recovery.
Reception to follow.
