(Postponed) Rosie's Theater Kids Passing It On
Mar 29, 2020 | 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
An annual showcase of the talents and training of the Rosie’s Theater Kids Company, Passing It On is the culmination of yearlong arts education programming that brings the joy of musical theater to public school students. On Sunday, March 29, 2020, Rosie’s Theater Kids will perform a variety of music, dance, and dramatic pieces that they rehearsed with professional performing arts mentors, including founder Rosie O’Donnell, Droid (FLEXN), Jawan M. Jackson (Ain’t Too Proud), John Tartaglia (Shrek), and more.
Founded in 2003 by Rosie O’Donnell and Lori Klinger, Rosie’s Theater Kids is a nonprofit arts education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Through in-school and after-school programming, each year we serve over 1,100 New York City public school students who otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience theater, positively changing the trajectory of their lives by providing comprehensive classes in music, dance, and drama; thoughtful mentoring; and structured academic guidance. In 2015, Rosie’s Theater Kids was awarded the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award at The White House.
