"The Archives in Motion" Presentation of LAYERS: A Dance Film

Join CENTRO on October 17th as we celebrate the breadth and depth of our archives with a special screening of LAYERS: A Dance Film by dancer and director César Abreu, CENTRO Artist in Residence, followed by a live performance by composer Angélica Negrón. In this film, César uses the vibrant legacy of Puerto Rican artists reflected in our archival collections to influence this cinematic exploration of resilience and empowerment within the creative community. After the screening and performance, stay for a panel featuring set designer and visual artist Roxane Revon, where they dive into the creative process that made this project possible.
