Congratulations to Steven McCafferty, who has been admitted to the Stanford University summer program and was awarded a prize for “excellent presentation” at the Hunter STEM+ poster event this spring (2024)!

Congratulations to Margaret Walsh, who will begin an MA program in Public Policy at the University of Galway in Fall 2024. She was also recently awarded the Ernst Hoffman Memorial Award for Excellence in German by the German Department!

Congratulations to Dr. Maria R. Boes (Professor Emerita, West Chester University; BA and MA  in History from Hunter College) for the publication of her second book, The Jewish Purging of a Small German Town: Personal Recollection, Private Letters, and Oral Testimony (Bloomsbury, 2024). Dr. Boes is also the author of Crime and Punishment in Early Modern Germany. Courts and Adjudicatory Practices in Frankfurt am Main, 1562-1696 (Ashgate, UK, 2013).

Congratulations to Bernadette Mustacchio, who has earned a Master of Studies in Women, Gender, and Queer History at Oxford University (2024) and will begin a PhD program in History at the University of South Florida in Fall 2024.
