AKTINA Presents: Tribute to the Greek Nisiotika & Rembetika With Nasia Konitopoulou & Dimitris Kontogiannis

AKTINA Productions, Inc., brings to the Kaye a new concert that should not be missed from its acclaimed series "GREEK MUSIC JOURNEY" produced by Elena Maroulleti. This one of a kind performance will revive the everlasting Nisiotika (folk songs of the Greek islands) and the Rembetika (Greek blues) with the renowned singers from Greece Nasia Konitopoulou and Dimitris Kontogiannis accompanied by their talented musicians featuring also the prominent folk artists Michalis Gampierakis on violin/vocals and Nikolas Sarantis on the bouzouki. Nasia Konitopoulou stands out as a "true" representative of the folk songs of the islands of the Aegean and Dimitris Kontogiannis of the urban folk rembetika. In addition to their reputation as representatives of these music genres, Konitopoulou and Kontogiannis are also well known for high energy live performances and eclectic collaborations, including their recordings of songs by great folk and urban folk Greek composers and lyricists over the years.
