Zuberi, Inc. presents: Teimuraz Tsiklauri - Georgian Legend

Zuberi, Inc. presents  Honored artist of Georgia, People’s artist of Georgia, Honorable Citizen of Tbilisi, Legendary soloist of ensemble "IVERIA" - Teimuraz Tsiklauri - in concert at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College on May 24, 2014, 7:00PM. The Kaye Playhouse is located on 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues.

From 1967 until 1972, Temur Tsiklauri sang in the ensemble “Tsitsinatela”.  In 1969,  acted in the film “The Light in Our Windows” in the role of Belafonte. From 1972 until now, is a member of the ensemble “Iveria”. T. Tsiklauri took part in musicals: “The Bird’s Wedding” (Eagle), “The Argonauts” (Aiet), “The Fairy Tale of Snow Granny” (Gervasi), “Pirosmani” (Nikala), and about 30 concert productions.

-In 1976, was the winner of 1st prize in the Union Pop singers’ competition.     

-In 1980, was given the rank of Honored artist of Georgia but in 1990 – People’s artist of Georgia. In 1997 – the Knight of the Honor Order.

-On September 27, 2000, T. Tsiklauri debuted on the stage of Batumi State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Z. Paliashvili’s opera ”Abesalom and Eteri”, where he played the part of Murman.

-On January 22, 2014, an anniversary concert was held at philharmonic hall of Tbilisi, Georgia featuring Teimuraz Tsiklauri, where he performed old and new songs of Famous Georgian composers. After the evening a star for Teimuraz Tsiklauri was opened outside of the concert hall. 

 Nugzar Kvashali, who is also a member of the ensemble "IVERIA", will host this event.
