The McNair Scholars Program is a federally funded TRIO educational grant designed to provide low-income, first-generation college students and students from groups underrepresented in graduate education with effective preparation for doctoral studies.

McNair scholars receive research and mentoring support, graduate application assistance, academic advising, conference presentation opportunities, college visits and more—plus a stipend for up to two years.
