Born into a legacy of academic excellence, Dr. Cantor is the daughter of two proud CUNY alumni. Her mother, Marjorie, was a member of Hunter’s Class of 1943, while her father, Aaron, graduated from City College. This familial connection imbues Dr. Cantor with a profound understanding of the values that define Hunter College.
Prior to her appointment at Hunter, Dr. Cantor served as chancellor of Rutgers University-Newark, where she distinguished herself as a champion of diversity and inclusion.
