A Hunter College faculty team worked with the NYC Department of Education to create a social studies curriculum and resource guide called “Hidden Voices: Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in United States History.”
Vivian Louie, a Hunter professor in urban policy and planning and AAS director from 2018-2024, led the Lead Scholars team, including Linh An and Chris Kwok, both adjunct professors in Asian American Studies, and they worked with Cathlin Goulding, adjunct professor in Education, who served as a content and editorial consultant for the guide.
Together, the Hunter team worked with the NYC DOE and many scholars and institutions to create this key resource, released in June 2023.
