It was highly educational!
Twenty-two Hunter College Pre-Business and Computer Science students this month visited the Manhattan headquarters of educational-technology company Chegg, which provides products and services to support the needs of college students, including homework help, digital and physical textbook rentals, textbooks, online tutoring, and other student services.
They heard career advice from CEO Dan Rosensweig, Chief Strategy Officer Lauren Glotzer, and Vice President of Chegg Skills, Rachel Brujis, all of whom shared stories about their personal career journeys.
“The students did Hunter proud, asking great questions, being fully engaged, and showing lots of enthusiasm and appreciation for our hosts,” said Naomi Press, director of Hunter’s Cooperman Business Center.
The visit and thoughtful advice from company leaders made a big impression on the students.
“Thank you so much for inviting us to your offices!” one student wrote in a class thank-you note. “Dan, Lauren, and Rachel — you guys were down-to-earth and vulnerable, teaching us important lessons that not only apply to our careers but life in general! Things like focusing on the solution and not the problem and being kind and giving without any expectation of anything in return will help us live successful & happy lives.”
Hunter’s Cooperman Business Center and its Certificate in Business Studies program provide Hunter students of all majors with academic knowledge, resources, and advising, supporting them in pursuing a wide range of business careers.
