Hunter College’s 2023 Giving Tuesday campaign drew a record 1,003 donors and raised more than $660,000, rising from 922 and more than $581,000 last year.
It was the seventh year in a row that Hunter yielded the highest number of donors of any college for the #CUNYTuesday campaign, which launched on November 28 and went through the end of the year. Hunter also more than doubled the amount it raised in 2020 and quintupled the number of partner institutions (e.g., the Annual Fund for Hunter College, the Roosevelt House Institute for Public Policy) that have participated, to 15 from 3.
“We thank the committed alumni and friends who give back each Giving Tuesday,” said Hunter College Foundation Executive Director Alexis Eggleton. “They help keep Hunter the engine of the American Dream, as it has been for generations of immigrants and first-generation college goers.”
CUNY raised a record-breaking $3.75 million from 4,650 individual donors during the campaign, a 29% increase over 2022.
