Victoria Johnson, professor in the department of Urban Policy and Planning, has been selected as a 2018 National Book Award Finalist for her biography of Alexander Hamilton's personal physician, David Hosack.
Her book, American Eden: David Hosack, Botany, and Medicine in the Garden of the Early Republic, follows Hosack's work in creating the country's first botanical garden, right here in New York City.
