They were very diplomatic!
About 30 students from the Polish Program at Hunter College visited the General Consulate of Poland in New York City in February.
The students were special guests of Consul General Mateusz Sakowicz and Consul Mateusz Debowicz. It was the first consulate visit for the Polish Program students, who had the opportunity to ask questions about the political and social situation in Poland. Consul Sakowicz also shared his diplomatic experiences with the students. Everyone received books about Poland in Polish and English.
“I did not know that the consul has so much work,” said student Wiktoria Krezlewicz. “Now I know it!”
After the official part of the visit, students chatted with diplomats over a cup of coffee.
The General Consulate of Poland said it would continue its cooperation with the Polish Program.
