The TIER (Trustworthy, Intelligent, and Explainable Robotics) Lab, led by PI Dr. Raj Korpan, welcomes new research robots to campus – two Misty 2 robots with speech recognition and audio localization capabilities, as well as both ranging and touch sensors. The TIER lab’s research is at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, human-robot interaction, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Cognitive Science, with the long-term goal of developing intelligent robot systems for social good.
The TIER lab was founded in September 2023 at Hunter College, CUNY.
