Randall K Filer, Professor of Economics at Hunter College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (and a Visiting Professor at CERGE-EI as well as a member of its Executive and Supervisory Committee) received the Czech Economic Society’s Medallion for “Long-Term Contribution to the Development of Czech Economic Science” in November 2016. According to CSE President Martin Machácek, the Czech economic community appreciates Professor Filer’s long-term “selfless commitment to help develop modern economic education and research.”
