As our campus celebrates Black History Month, we write to affirm our longstanding institutional values and commitment to diversity and inclusion. From its inception, our College has welcomed people from all backgrounds and has been dedicated to providing an environment that promotes discovery, generates knowledge and educates the next generation of leaders. This mission is served only when all members of our campus community feel safe, welcomed, engaged and unburdened by historical biases, identity stereotypes and prejudices. We remain committed to the right of free speech and free expression for all. Each member of our campus community must remember their responsibility to reflect these cherished values of our College. Comments that marginalize or belittle others have no place in our institution. This is how we will remain true to our motto, Mihi Cura Futuri, the Care of the Future is Mine.
