PLEASE POST A COPY OF THIS MEMORANDUM

Nominating petitions for candidates for the position of Teacher-Member of the Teachers’ Retirement Board for a term of three years from May 2024 - May 2027 were due to be reviewed by the Division of Human Resources by 5:00 P.M. on Friday, April 12, 2024.

Two valid petitions were received – one from Christina McGrath (alternate: Frank Paneblanco) and one from Benjamin Morgenroth (alternate: Daniel Alicea). Since there are two candidates, the election scheduled for May 8, 2024, as per Pension Memorandum No. 1, 2023-2024, will be going forward.

By May 2, 2024, the heads of schools, colleges, and offices will ensure that the contact information of contributors eligible to vote in the election are provided to the Chancellor's authorized representative.

By May 7, 2024, the Chancellor’s authorized representative will distribute electronic ballot information to schools, colleges, and offices. All individual contributors will receive an email to their work email with instructions regarding the process for online voting. By Pension Election Day, all individual contributors will receive their link to the online election platform.

Pension Election Day is Wednesday, May 8, 2024, when balloting begins for the election of a TeacherMember of the Teachers' Retirement Board. Voting will be open on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 from 9:00am until 5:00pm and Thursday, May 9, 2024 from 9:00am until 5:00pm. If a contributor is unable to complete online voting from their location, they may come in-person to 65 Court Street, Room 200, Brooklyn, NY 11201 during voting hours, where they may vote electronically.

On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the final counting of the ballots will take place at 65 Court Street, Brooklyn, NY, Room 200, at 4:00pm.
