Hunter alumna Veronica Pasha (BSN ’15) shares what it’s really like to be a registered nurse with CNBC’s Make It.
Currently Veronica is a senior staff float nurse, which means she works across all units of the women’s and children’s health division at New York-Presbyterian. Being a float nurse comes with some uncertainty. “It’s hard to put together what you’ll do on a day-to-day because you just don’t really know what you’re walking into that day,” she says.
But early morning commutes, an uncertain work day, and working 12 – 16 hours doesn’t seems to deter Veronica from loving her job. In fact, she grows to love it more every day. “This is the first job I’ve had, and I fell in love with it.”
