When their high school shifted to on-line learning, Hunter High schoolers collaborated via messaging apps to create an elaborate 3-D version of their school in the videogame Minecraft. Using images from Google Earth, a dozen seniors spent many hours building a meticulous replica of their school in the game, allowing them to retain a feeling of normalcy and ultimately to still hold online versions of social events. The students are using a myriad of technological mediums to stay connected and spend virtual time together.
