Elaine Walsh PhD., LCSW, is the Director of the Public Service Scholar Program, but she is also much more than that, as this poster shows. Dr. Walsh was honored as 2013's Woman of Distinction, as conferred by Senator Liz Krueger. Dr. Walsh began pursuing her passion for social work and public advocacy at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service where she obtained an MSW and PhD. Besides being Associate Professor at the Department of Urban Affairs and Planning at Hunter College and directing the PSSP, Dr. Walsh is also a community leader. She presides over the East 86th Street Association, for which she advocates for local residents and businesses. See below all her accomplishments that led her to be awarded Woman of Distinction.
