Dr. Sherry Greenberg is the inaugural Evelyn Lauder Chair in Adult Gerontology and a professor at the Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College of the City University of New York (CUNY). Dr. Greenberg is a nurse practitioner advisory group member on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Age-Friendly Health Systems initiative. Dr. Greenberg is past president of the Gerontological Advanced Practice Nurses Association. She is a member of the Gerontology & Geriatrics Education Editorial Board and a peer reviewer for multiple journals. Dr. Greenberg is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Geriatrics Society, Gerontological Society of America, National Academies of Practice, and New York Academy of Medicine, as well as Distinguished Educator in Gerontological Nursing through the National Hartford Center of Gerontological Nursing Excellence.
Dr. Greenberg earned her academic nursing degrees, baccalaureate, master's, and PhD, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and was a Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar. Dr. Greenberg has worked as a certified gerontological nurse practitioner in acute, long-term care, and outpatient primary care practices and has taught at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral nursing levels.
