Hunter College offers a Distance Dietetic Internship option. Distance interns are required to attend a one-week orientation and the weekly Dietetic internship seminar at our Silberman campus. Applicants interested in the Distance DI option should apply for the Distance Dietetic Internship Option in DICAS.
Distance interns must locate supervised practice sites equivalent to those currently utilized in the program, including Medical Nutrition Therapy (inpatient acute and/or long-term care setting), Food Service Management, and Community/Public Health Nutrition. Curriculum and evaluation materials will be provided by the Dietetic Internship Director.
Supervised practice sites must be secured by the time the application is submitted on February 15 and must be reviewed by the Dietetic Internship Director prior to starting the internship. All sites will be required to sign an agreement with Hunter College prior to accepting interns for supervised practice. The Distance Dietetic Internship Application can be requested from the Dietetic Internship Director, Allison Marshall, ama0026@hunter.cuny.edu by February 15, 2025.
