Michael began his career in auditing, and he joined CUNY in December 2009 as Senior Auditor for Information Technology. Over the years, he became a trusted advisor to university and college administrators on cybersecurity compliance and implementing computer user policies and standards. This expertise led to his leadership of the university's first Cybersecurity Maturity Model, which provided valuable insights for evolving CUNY and Hunter College’s Cybersecurity Standards. Michael holds several professional certifications, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CCFE).
