Dr. Stanley Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Hunter College.

Profile

Dr. Stanley Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Hunter College. His research interests include the effects of accents on the processing of grammatical/ungrammatical structures, cross-linguistic influence on sentential processing, and the application of language specific structures in aphasia treatment. Dr. Chen is currently collaborating on a project regarding the perception of lexical tones in speakers of non-tonal languages. In the past, he has over 10 years of experience in teaching English as a second language.

Dr. Chen’s research has been presented at national and international conferences, such as the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Annual Convention as well as the Annual meeting of the Academy of Aphasia.
