Description: The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) formerly known as SMDEP is a free summer enrichment program focused on improving access to information and resources for college students interested in the health professions. SHPEP’s goal is to strengthen the academic proficiency and career development of students interested in the health professions and prepare them for a successful application and matriculation to health professions schools. This workshop will include: - Information about the benefits of SHPEP - Meet past SHPEP participants - A walk-through the application process.

Title: Committee Letter Workshop: 2018-2019 Committee Letter Application Cycle

Description: The Committee Letter workshop organized by the Pre-Health Office to provide each applicant or re-applicant with valuable information about preparing your Committee Letter Application and your medical, dental or veterinary school application. This includes guidelines for preparing Personal Statements and other parts of the application. These guidelines are presented to help applicants to craft their personal statements and other parts of their Committee Letter Application. In order to submit a Committee Letter Application and receive either a committee letter or letter packet you must attend one of the workshops and already have a Pre-Health file. This is MANDATORY for all first-time applicants as well as Re-Applicants who would like to have previously submitted Committee Letters updated. This workshop is for students applying in the summer 2018 to medical, dental, optometry, podiatry and veterinary school.
