Title: Doctor Speaker Series: Dr. Nicole Pacheco
Description: Nicole Pacheco is a proud alumna of the CUNY system, graduating in 2014 as Salutatorian and Summa Cum laude from the Macaulay Honors program at Hunter College. Following undergraduate, Nicole went straight to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is now a fourth-year medical student, with plans to enroll in psychiatry residency in the fall. She hopes to specialize in reproductive psychiatry – a fascinating intersection between OB/GYN and psychiatry, where one works to promote the mental health of women throughout their reproductive life. In addition to her interests in psychiatry, Nicole has been heavily involved in medical activism. She has held presidencies in both SNMA (Student National Medical Association) and SEOM (Students for Equal opportunity in Medicine), two medical student organizations that work to promote diversity within medicine. She is also the proud co-founder of CUNY in Medicine, a group that helps support CUNY students in their medical school endeavors.
