The Doctor Speaker Series-Dr. Maurice Hinson
Join us for an engaging discussion with Dr. Maurice Hinson. Maurice D. Hinson, MD is a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Hinson received his BA in Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University. It was there that he discovered his passion for research and mentoring- having engaged in several research projects at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institute and co-founding the Brotherhood Mentoring Program, a student run organization created to mentor African American male youth from an inner city Baltimore high school. After graduating Hopkins, He went on to perform research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in the Department of Neonatology, where his work culminated with the publication of several peer reviewed articles and receipt of several nationally recognized awards, including the Young Investigator award from the Eastern Society of Pediatric Research. After completing a post baccalaureate at Drexel University, he received his MD from the Drexel University College of Medicine (DUCOM).
