Doctor Speakers Series: Dr. Colleen Thurman, DVM

Colleen Thurman is a second year resident at NYU and Regeneron in laboratory animal medicine. She completed her veterinary and master's education at Tufts University in Grafton Massachusetts in 2016. Before attending veterinary school, she worked in private practice as a veterinary assistant at both a small animal practice and a feline only practice in her hometown of Houston, Texas. Prior to that, she graduated from Cornell University with Bachelor's degrees in Biology and Spanish. She originally thought she wanted to pursue human medicine, but discovered a passion for veterinary medicine, particularly laboratory animal medicine, while working through the pre-veterinary curriculum and participating in undergraduate research in a lab doing studies on stem cell dynamics in mice.
