Hunter College Pre-Dental Society Annual Banquet
Joins us for the annual Pre-Dental society dinner. We will also announce the new PDS e-board. The Hunter College Pre-Dental Society is excited to announce the following speakers for the 2018-2019 End-Of-Year Banquet. We will be welcoming: Dr. Rose Amable is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, who was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She is a pediatric dentist and a full-time faculty at NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Rose completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry at Fordham University. Before pursuing her dental education, she conducted stem cell research at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and co-author multiple publications. Dr. Rose received her Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from New York University, where she enjoyed providing dental services and promoting oral health to underserved communities locally and internationally. After graduating, she completed a one-year residency program at Bronx Lebanon Hospital in the Bronx, where she received training in management of dental and facial trauma, as well as in general dentistry. Dr. Rose completed her pediatric dental training at New York University and Bellevue Hospital, where she received extensive training in the treatment of medically compromised children, trauma, orthodontics, craniofacial anomalies and pediatric medicine.Her main goal as a pediatric dentist is to provide her patients with the best care available in a warm, friendly and fun environment. Dr. Michelle Goldstein: Dr. Goldstein is a pediatric dentist and a full-time faculty at NYU College of Dentistry. Dr. Michelle, as she prefers her patients to call her, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Brandeis University and completed her dental education at Boston University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree. In recognition of her outstanding performance throughout her dental education, she was awarded the 2012 Academic Excellence Award at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Michelle then left Massachusetts for New York in order to complete specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry. Throughout her post-graduate education, Dr. Michelle developed a love of outreach dentistry and has traveled both internationally and domestically to provide dental care to children in need. In addition, Dr. Michelle is currently clinical faculty in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at NYU College of Dentistry where she trains future generations of Pediatric Dentists. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, is an active American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry member, and is certified in CPR and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) by the American Heart Association. Dr. Michelle’s goal is for every child to have positive and fun experiences at the dentist. In her free time, she enjoys Barre and going to the beach. Mariya Lelikova is a first year dental student at Touro College of Dental Medicine. She is a Hunter College alumnus, and was the the secretary of the Pre-Dental Society for the 2017-2018 academic year. Andriy Yusvyak is a first year dental student at Touro College of Dental Medicine. He is a Hunter College alumnus, and was the treasurer of the Pre-Dental Society for the 2017-2018 academic year. Dress code: Formal (If you are not dressed appropriately you will not be allowed to enter this event.)
