Many podiatrists specialize in surgery, sports medicine, wound care, pediatrics, or diabetic care. We will discuss what a doctor of podiatric medicine does, course requirements for pre-podiatry students, how to gain clinical and research experience, and when and how to apply to podiatric medical schools through AACPMAS, including taking the MCAT and applying for a committee letter.
