American Physician Scientist Association Chapter at Hunter (APSAxHunter) Information Session
The mission of the American Physician Scientist Association at Hunter College (APSAxHunter) is to assist students who are interested in the careers of physician-scientists (MD/DO-PhD) via networking at the local, regional, and national level and to inspire others to pursue careers as research scientists through community outreach. Hand to hand, we strive to promote diversity, inclusion, and equity through opportunities and mentorship.

How to Succeed as a Pre-Health Student at Hunter College Panel Discussion
Join us for a panel discussion with current undergraduates and Post Bacc students who will share tips and techniques on how to succeed as a Pre-Health student. Pre-Health students must achieve a grade of B or better in all science courses, engage in research and gain clinical exposure in order to be considered competitive applicants.
Pre-Health Summer Research Symposium 2020
Though many research programs and volunteer experiences have been put to a halt due to safety concerns of staff and students, the Pre-Health Research Journal Club and Pre-Health Professions Advising Office have collaborated in efforts to provide a platform for students to present their research whether it was remotely worked on, or conducted in person. We understand the amount of effort and extent of flexibility needed to complete research under uncertain conditions, and this year’s symposium is our way to showcase these projects!

The Committee Letter workshop is organized by the Pre-Health Office to provide each undergraduate applicant or re-applicant with valuable information about preparing your Committee Letter Application and your medical, dental, or veterinary school application. This includes guidelines for preparing Personal Statements and other parts of the application. These guidelines are presented to help applicants to craft their personal statements and other parts of their Committee Letter Application.

NYP Trauma/Critical Care Surgery Research Assistant Recruitment Info Session
New York-Presbyterian Queens is a Level 1 Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons. The trauma program works in collaboration with the Emergency Department in caring for injured patients. We collect over 200 data points on each injured patient and use this information to generate research ideas that are aimed to improve patient outcomes and care.
