“My name is George Zakusilo. I am currently a third-year MD-PhD student and Hunter Alum. While I was at Hunter It seems that while I got a great education it was not an easy task for me and other students to find a lab. My biggest problem was that I did not know how to approach Hunter College professors or how to appropriately craft an email to professors outside of Hunter College.
“Now being in seven labs total I think I have an idea of how to approach emailing and asking for a volunteering opportunity in the lab. This a second workshop designed to go over the process of finding and joining the lab.
“Join me and other M.D.-Ph.D. students who graduated from Hunter as we will try to help you with editing and writing lab lists and/or emails. Please come prepared with drafts of emails and lab lists to go over.
“We will share our experience and tips to guide current Hunter students throughout this process.”
