The Committee Letter seminar is organized by the Pre-Health Office to provide each undergraduate applicant or re-applicant with valuable information about preparing your Committee Letter Application and your medical, dental, or optometry school application. This includes guidelines for preparing Personal Statements and other parts of the application. These guidelines are presented to help applicants to craft their personal statements and other parts of their Committee Letter Application.
To submit a Committee Letter Application and receive either a committee letter or letter packet, you must attend one of the seminars.
Committee Letter Document Requirements
- 8-10 course evaluations—you must have at least 3—from science courses (one from Biology, one from Chemistry, and one from Physics preferred).
- 6 letters of recommendation—you must have two letters from a Hunter science (biology, chemistry, or physics) faculty member, one letter from a clinical supervisor/doctor, and, one from a research supervisor.
- The 8-10 course evaluations and 6 letters of recommendation must all be submitted by January 15th, 2025.
This is a MANDATORY seminar for all first-time applicants as well as re-applicants who would like to have previously submitted Committee Letters updated.
