Join us for a discussion with Hunter Alum and former Hunter MAPS President Dr. Gloria Felix.
Dr. Gloria Felix received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literary Criticism from Hunter College in 2012. She obtained her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She went on to complete her Emergency Medicine Residency at Jacobi/Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. During Residency she completed the NYC Health and Hospitals
Health Care Administration Scholars Program Fellowship (HASP). She is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and ER attending at CUIMC and Allen Pavilion. She is a member of the LCME Accreditation committee for academic and learning environments and medical student health services, personal counseling and financial aid services.
Her area of interests include mentoring, teaching premed, medical students and residents. Her research interests are investigating initiatives to increase URM students in medicine.
